i have a huge kitchen at my disposal (not my own); vegetables, cans of this and that and spices are scattered about, prepared to go into a cauldron of minestrone i started a few days ago.
i'm preparing ahead so as to freeze the leftovers to heat up later at home over my hotplate.. nothing like a 6-burner gas range to simmer over!.

Just a standard above-the-fridge compartment. Minestrone's my fave!
When I'm on a job and have use of the kitchen, it's a good opportunity to cook ahead. My own studio kitchen is small and has no built-ins, nor is there running water. As a result, prep is difficult. Having an all-singing-all-dancing kitchen (on the job) allows me multiple range burners as well as a vegetable sink, too, and LOTS of counter space to spread out over.

No Scotch was harmed in the making of this soup . . . I remember oxtails and soupbones that Mom got for free or, at least, for a very low price. No more.
Love lentils. I didn't realize they were available in supermarkets overseas.

i was raised a jw and as a kid my family made brief mention of apostates in bethel that falsely prophecied about 1975 and were kicked out of bethel.
i was shocked after i got out and learned that him being removed had absolutely nothing to do with 1975. i think that partial lie spread is what kept my relatives in.
1975 a big let down/false prophecy, then they are told that a governing body member and many in bethel are found apostate and cleaned out, etc.
In reality it was Ray's brother Fred under the tutelage of Nathan Knorr who created for a second time this 6000 years of man's existence doctrine.

under the tutelage . . . According to Edmund Gruss' interviewees in THE FOUR PRESIDENTS, Knorr was no scholar and had given FWF carte blanche on matters of doctrine, but was furious with Franz for the embarrassment he caused the Society over 1975 -- not public knowledge, I'm sure.
I will try to get back with verification of the above once I locate the book.

As already mentioned, I'm having no problems personally with moving ahead. The perjorative phrase, "deplorable lack of faith," was used at an assembly, I believe, to castigate older JWs who were having second thoughts about what they had sacrificed . . . and for what?
